Getting Your P’s

You’ve had your learner’s license and had a taste of the wind in your hair, you feel ready to take on the world and get your Provisional License.

What do you need to do?

•You must have held your learner rider license for a minimum of three

months before you are eligible to attend the pre-provisional course.

However, you may book your course any time after gaining your

•The pre-provisional course is six hours of training followed by the

           Motorcycle Operator Skill Test (MOST).

What do I bring with me on the day?

•Your current learner rider license.

•Your motorcycle in a registered and roadworthy condition with current registration label and an “L” plate affixed.

What Motorcycles can I ride?

•In NSW, holders of learner and provisional motorcycle licenses are not permitted to ride a motorcycle with an engine capacity exceeding 660ml or with a power to weight ratio exceeding 150 kilowatts per tonne.
