Welcome to The Illawarra Rider. Please read through the following conditions of membership carefully as you will be asked to agree with the conditions and guidelines when submitting a request for membership.
We require a current email address to process your application and you will be notified via the supplied email address of your successful submission for membership of the Illawarra Riders. We also ask that you supply the information requested in the required fields (with-in what will become your profile) information about you to assist in the operation of the site and let other members know who you are.
Once you have been approved as a member we then ask that you take the time to introduce yourself to the group on the New Members Thread. There is also a facility (with instructions) to post a Picture of yourself and your bike in the Me and My Ride Thread. Please take the time to do so as this is one way of the membership base knowing who you are and what you ride so we can come up and say Hello if we see you out and about.
The Illawarra Riders Association like all clubs has guidelines that they require members to abide by when posting onto the Online forum or taking part in any of our organized events. The Management Team of the Illawarra Riders Association will remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, if it contains the following:- any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to the Illawarra Riders Association on-line forum express the views and opinions of the author and not the Management team.
Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed). The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. You agree that the Management team of the Illawarra Riders Association have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit. As a user you agree to any information you have entered above being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent the Management Team cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
We also have a set of ride guidelines that all of our Ride Events are conducted under, these are located at the top of the Ride events page and should be read and understood prior to a new members attendance at a ride event. Failure to abide by these guidelines may result in you being asked to leave an organised event and are put in place so that ride events can be conducted as safely as possible at all times.
The club is actively involved in motorcycle safety/political campaigning within the Illawarra region with the forums being our public face, we request that you do not post any pictures of yourself engaging in illegal/unsafe riding. We will request that such pictures be removed.
The Illawarra Riders Association Web Based forum system uses cookies to store information on your local computer. These cookies do not contain any of the information you have entered above; they serve only to improve your viewing pleasure. The e-mail address is used only for confirming your registration details and password (and for sending new passwords should you forget your current one).
