Angel Flight Australia is a charity that co-ordinates non emergency flights for financially and medically needy people. All flights are free and may involve patients or compassionate carers traveling to or from medical facilities anywhere in Australia.
Angel Flight pilots do not carry Aeromedical staff or medical equipment so do not act as an alternative to the Flying Doctor (RFDS) or Air Ambulance in that capacity.
The Australian Red Cross Blood Service exists to save lives.
Our mission is to provide quality blood products, tissues and related services for the benefit of the community. At the core of our service are blood donors – over 469,000 voluntary, non-remunerated donors who give blood to help other people in need. This generosity is just one facet of the humanitarian spirit of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Thanks to our voluntary blood donors, countless people have received the precious gift of life, while others are able to enjoy a much-improved quality of life through regular treatment with blood and blood products.
