The Illawarra Riders was formed on the 8th of March 2005, when a group of riders from the region decided to form a internet based interest group to raise the profile of riders in the area, raise concerns about road safety conditions on some of our favourite pieces of road and to organise group ride events.
Since that time, we have staged many outstanding ride and social events. We have formed a relationship with the Motorcycle Council of NSW and are actively involved in the Macquarie Pass Road Safety Group. Along with the RTA, Local Councils, NSW Police and other interested parties, we have been able to raise the profile of motorcycling with-in the region and improve road conditions for all road users.
Illawarra Riders organise, promote and actively volunteer in Charity Events with-in the Illawarra and surrounding areas. We have a dynamic membership and welcome all riders, pillions and families that have a connection with Motorcycling. We promote rider safety and encourage the development of road craft in all of our organized activities.
To join the Illawarra Riders we ask that you read our Guidelines and Definitions. Provide a current Email address and the details on the request form. The request's are processed manually and a reply will be sent to the email address supplied.
